Specific requirements:
• Experience in Software Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of Embedded Systems
• Low-level hardware, software and network concepts in embedded systems
• Comprehend hardware, software and network requirements
• Comprehend technical architecture and develop detailed design specifications
• Develop software design using methodologies such as object-oriented design and use UML notation
• Develop codes and adhere to coding standards
• Plan and execute unit tests
• Manage and control versions of source codes, binaries and design artifacts
• Perform research and develop “proof of concept” models to resolve technical issues or to evaluate design options
• Participate in quality activities such as peer reviews
• Comply with standard software engineering practices and recommend improvements
Technologies:
• Experience in C, C++, VC++, VB, Windows programming (MFC), Installshield, Windows Installer, COM/DCOM, embedded technologies, RTOS, XML, RoboHelp, MS Office, GSM/GPRS, CDMA, WiFi, TCP/IP, UDP, 802.11, HTTP, SSL, MSDE, PKI, EMV required
• Experience in ARM, device driver development, architecture porting issues, definition /selection of system components, set-up of boot software and configurations, building tool chains, kernel and C libraries, building a root file system , firmware coding for different types of microcontrollers and compilers preferred
General requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or related field required; MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field desirable
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral)
• Must be willing and able to work off hours in support of a US parent company and set of customers
• Practical experience with all phases of the software development life cycle
• Must be willing and able to travel to the US when required
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a start-up environment
• Investigate methods for integrating new or developing technologies
• Practical project management skills (task definition, time management, status reporting)
• Prior experience in working with a US-based company and/or consulting is a plus
• Comfortable with 2 years employment bond
