Executive Assistant

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials for publications and presentations.
  • Assist the Executive Officer in monitoring the plans and projects of the different business units / departments
  • Guide the departments / business units in financial analysis (i.e. approach and thoroughness of analysis, financial template development, report formats), as vital inputs for evaluating ongoing operations and decision making.
  • Prepare financial feasibilities and drafts business plans for proposed new business ventures (i.e. franchises, restaurants, brands, products, real estate projects).
  • Does research and makes business presentation materials for the group president.
  • Organize, coordinate & facilitate the strategic planning process of the Roasters Group of Companies.
  • Setup President’s travel arrangements.
  • Setup accommodation and entertainment arrangements for company visitors.
  • Maintain President’s calendar.
  • Prepare and maintain President’s expense report.
  • Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Create, transcribe, and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Answer telephones and handle in appropriate manner.
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
  • Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.
  • Coordinate project-based work.
  • Supervise support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Secretarial or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in Secretarial/Executive & Personal Assistant or equivalent. Job role in Secretary/Personal Assistant or Management.
  • 1 Full-Time positions available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Computer Engineering or Computer Science;
  • With strong experience and technical expertise in Operating Systems and databases, Web servers and application servers, Microsoft Windows and SQL server; LAN Technologies, Linux and Other Open Source, Domino/Exchange, Routing protocols and Internet Concepts, Firewall Technologies and Back-Up/Storage Solutions;
  • Good in oral and written communication skills;
  • With excellent problem solving skills.

Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer he/she will be responsible for monitoring, support, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance and installation of POS equipment and software She/He will support and perform maintenance on file and application server software, related to POS data, hardware and monitor connectivity of stores to Malls. She/He will be required to address potential systems issues in a proactive manner, resolving problems directly or working closely with other Technical support personnel whenever necessary. She/He will be responsible for problem management for all production problems. In coordination with the Tech Support Supervisor, she/he will be required to perform administrative duties for the roll-out of POS buttons for new product launches, price updates, product deactivation and other related tasks to POS data maintenance.

Day to day his/her duties will be:

  • Reviewing, and supporting the POS infrastructure
  • Implementing Preventive Maintenance of POS equipment and other computing units at store level.
  • Escalating and collaborating problems to the internal MIS team and external support/vendors if required
  • Performing root cause outage analysis on POS concerns.
  • Evaluating and recommending hardware and POS features upgrade
  • Maintenance and updating of POS Data consolidation process to arrive at a timely reporting to Marketing/Operations/Management infrastructure
  • Manage the assigned deployment tasks and schedules according to priority.
  • Ensure that the agreed response time to POS related issues is met and fully addressed.

To succeed in this position he/she must be knowledgeable and/or experienced in technical support concerning POS, Operating systems and databases. He/She must have the ability to quickly learn on the job and handle new situations.

This role will also involve building relationships with other members of the MIS team, in order to ensure a first class service is delivered to the company. He/She will also share knowledge and information with other members of the team and play an active part in improving the working practices.

To succeed as the Technical Support Engineer he/she must have experience in a similar support role and proven technical experience with:

  • Linux Operating systems and Open Source databases – Intermediate to Advanced – Required
  • Web servers and application servers – Basic to Intermediate – Required
  • Microsoft Windows and SQL Server – Intermediate – Required
  • LAN Technologies – Intermediate – Required
  • Routing protocols and Internet Concepts – Basic to Intermediate – Required
  • Back-Up/Storage Solutions – Basic to Intermediate – Preferred
  • Experience in P erl, CGI, Visual Basic, Python, Linux shell scripting, PostgreSql, MSAccess, MS SQL, DBF, Apache, Zope, HTML – Required

Education:

Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (of comparable education/experience)

Additionally, he/she will need to demonstrate good communication skills, a team player, the ability to speak to customers on all levels, and the desire to learn new skills and technologies and understand the business processes and needs. As well as her/his ability to analyse and understand customers’ issues, she/he should have excellent problem solving skills.

Analyst Programmer

Analyst Programmer

As an Analyst Programmer she/he will be responsible for in-house development projects, system enhancements, product upgrades and production support; including requirements capture, problem analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation and implementation. She/he will work with existing company databases and perform database analyst duties.

General duties include:

  • Data query
  • Report generation/Automation of reports
  • Report validation
  • Data backup
  • Data storage and ensures data integrity
  • Performs troubleshooting, identifying and correcting bugs, ad-hoc queries
  • Track, troubleshoot and resolve application related issues.
  • Design and implement solutions and measures to be taken
  • Apply appropriate testing procedures and scripts
  • Write user and technical documentation

She/He will have extensive background in applications development, have technical skills in either SQL, and will have specific formal leadership experience. She/He must be willing to share knowledge and information with other team members and play an active part in improving work practices.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience in the following:

  • Development, support and troubleshooting of Microsoft technologies (Visual Basic, .Net, VB.Net, ASP.Net and VB Script), as well as open source technologies (PHP, P erl, CGI, Javascript) gained within the Retail, Manufacturing or Financial Services sector or industry.
  • Experience of SQL and relational databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is also essential.
  • Experience in Financial Application processes and development
  • Experience in POS Systems support and integration

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in computer science of comparable education/experience.
  • Solid experience in software maintenance and/or development environment (3 to 4 years experience in programming)
  • Capable of communicating in English (verbal and in writing).
  • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and meet new challenges
