ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

What you’ll be doing:

  • Your work would have a direct effect and contribution to the success and growth of the company. You will report to the Finance & Admin Officer and General Manager and be responsible for assisting, creating and and implementing innovative solutions to the finance, accounting, and administrative challenges of keeping our business on track.
  • Among your tasks and duties is the development and implementation of accounting processes and systems, billing, expense tracking, and preparing monthly trial balance and financial statements. This is a fast-paced environment so you will need to be hard-working, resilient and a team player.

What you’ll need to qualify for the job:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Computer Literate MS Office/Excel/Word
  • Can do bookkeeping well and familiar with computerized accounting packages for small companies, preferably Quickbooks.
  • Must be familiar with BIR and other government regulations.
  • Must be keen to details to ensure the accuracy of input
  • Must have good time management and be able to prioritize to ensure that all tasks are accomplished
  • Must have a mindset of continuous improvement and innovativeness.
  • Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude ang willingness to assist others
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Ortigas Center.
  • Atleast 1 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Full-Time position(s) available.

Special Tasks:
• Submit accurate and timely financial reports and schedules to the Assistant Accounting Manager
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Maintain correct schedule for all Accounts
• Preparation of trial balance
• Preparation of General Ledger
• Preparation of correct remittances and compliances to government reportorial requirements (SSS, PHIC, HMDF, BIR, and IC)
• Investigate irregularities of accounts to avoid misstatements
• Appropriate classification of accounting entries
• Maintain summaries of Journal Vouchers and adjusting entries
• Preparation of journal/adjusting entries
• Regularly monitor with accounting staff of the status of the collectible certificates of creditable withholding taxes
• Custodian of Books of Accounts
• Prepares Bank Reconciliation on regular basis
• Review remittance reports and approve Accounts Payable and Remittance Vouchers
• Ensures mathematical accuracy of all Trade and Non-Trade Payables
• Review and approve reports prepares by Accounting Staff
