LEE Designs Industries was established on May 15, 1975 as a single proprietor company. With an initial capital of Php5,000.00, a small garage background shop, a basic sewing machine and a workforce of five, the company was primarily established to serve re-upholstery jobs of household sofa sets and canteen chairs of a local hamburger chain.
During the late 1970’s, the company invested on several machineries from Italy, Japan and the United States. Utilizing on wood materials available locally, the company ventured into the manufacturing of wooden furniture.
The product line expanded into a wide range of home and office furniture – from living room sets, wall closets, cabinets, to office desks, conference tables, executive and staff chairs, etc. The company started to establish itself to several banks, insurance companies, hotels and small to medium scaled companies. Eventually, LEE Designs Industries expanded into the assembly of different lines of mass production and budget furniture. The company supplied to several well-known retail outlets, further expanding its market reach.
The 1980’s was a decade of growth. The management of LEE Designs Industries concentrated on expanding and establishing a strong foundation for its continuously growing product line. The company shifted to serving all the needs and demands of the corporate world – from office tables and chairs to cabinets and partitions and even pantry cabinets. This era saw the need for brand recognition, thus the birth of “LUXUS” brand: Encompassing several office systems furniture, major components of which were mainly from Europe and the USA.
By the late 1980’s, LEE Designs Industries had established a bigger market, supplying to bigger institutions and companies. And with the new LUXUS brand, the company also penetrated the market of government agencies, multinational companies and paging centers, to name a few.
1980’s was also the time when LEE Designs Industries branched out to the United States: LEE Designs USA was registered in Los Angeles, California, consequently a warehouse / showroom was opened in Whittier, California in June 1986, showcasing knock-down Scandinavian designed furniture for residences and institutions. Indigenous Fililpino materials such as narra, abaca and rattan, were used in producing office furniture, dining sets, sofa sets, etc.
The 1990’s on the other hand were a decade of development. During this period, several advancements were imposed on the then existing wide range of products. Tables were created with more variations with regards to shapes, sizes and finishes, up to date to the trends from Europe. The variety of chair models also increased by more than 100% from the models available during the 1980’s – LUXUS brand chairs increased from less than 10 models to over 30 models; by then, LEE Designs Industries has also become the exclusive distributor to more than 10 top European brand office chairs.
In 1997, LEE Designs Industries became LEE Designs Industries, Inc. With sufficient resources, the company now ventured into a corporation leading to more opportunities with bigger and more renowned companies and institutions.
The 21st century is another era of further growth and development. The corporation has now advanced to serving hospitals, schools, and public areas, such as theaters, auditoriums, waiting areas and cafeteria furnishings. Today, for over 20 years, LEE Designs Industries, Inc. has been a loyal supplier to several companies seeking quality furniture.
With its strict, high production standards, top quality European component materials suppliers, a staff of ethical and well-trained professional architects and marketing executives, LEE Designs Industries, Inc. has since become a byword and source of high quality ergonomic office chairs and system furniture. LEE Designs Industries, Inc. has continuously and is continuously progressing into this day, with a present workforce of over 100 employees, a manufacturing area of 4,500sqm, a four-storey corporate head office and showroom located at 663 Del Monte Avenue, Quezon City, plus showrooms within the financial district of Makati and Pasig.

• Background in project management is a plus
• Degree in Architecture / Interior Design or any related field; license is a plus
• Knowledgeable in Autocad, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office
