Relationship Manager-Associate
Preferred Educational Background:
Business BA/BS degree. Masters degree an advantage. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP, CSQA, COP, Treasury Professional) an advantage
Preferred Business Experience:
- 3 to 5 years experience in banking operations (investment banking operations, finance/accounting, treasury operations) experience preferred.
- Equivalent non-banking operations experience in finance/accounting, brokerage operations accepted. Alternative would be at least 3 years’ experience in third party or shared service centers, in project management, quality assurance.
- First- or second-level supervisor/team leader role for at least 2 years would be ideal.

- Client Relationship Focus. Interacts with Onshore/foreign clients, for long-duration services (not one-offs)
- Business Advisory & Partnership
- Teamwork and Organizational Influence (stakeholder mgt, relationship mgt, networking, conflict/negotiation, facilitation skills). Interacts with peers and team leads from other delivery units, participates in cross-team/cross-domain working groups, ability to negotiate changes in CRFs, experience in raising key input issues and seeking Onshore resolution, chairs team meetings
Leadership and Achievement Cluster:
- Strategic Thinking and Realization. Proposes solutions, even non-traditional ones, rather than just problems . Asks other units if issue spans multiple teams. Escalates issues in timely manner
- Achievement and Performance Focus (end to end orientation, critical thinking). Looks for solutions instead of just waiting for them, positive in orientation. Proposes practical solutions, consults specialists, team leads, within domain (and across, if necessary)
- Organizational and Team Leadership. periodically serves as leader in initiatives, acting team lead
Personal Effectiveness Cluster:
- Professionalism and Integrity. Comes on time, delivers assignments in committed time, or quickly communicates delay. Works hard to deliver a best quality output when needed. Owns up/apologizes for personal mistakes easily
- Entrepreneurial Initiative and Action. Regularly proposes improvements in own work flow. Communicates with other teams who may be input providers or output recipients
- Flexibility, Adaptability, and Innovation (Multi-tasking, thick skin). Handles multiple tasks easily. Joins efficiency improvement teams. Outspoken, will debate point of view, but can take rejection even for pet projects and supports team goal once decided

- Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving. Exhibits logical way of thinking, talks to related parties but has his/her own independent view on problem and solution. Proposes solutions in timely manner even in face of imperfect/incomplete information
