Relationship Manager-Senior Associate
Job Description: Relationship Management, Senior Associate
Preferred Educational Background:
Master’s degree ideal. Business BA/BS degree. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP, CSQA, COP, Treasury Professional) an advantage
Preferred Business Experience:
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in banking operations (investment banking operations, finance/accounting, treasury operations) experience preferred.
- Equivalent non-banking operations experience in finance/accounting, brokerage operations accepted. Alternative would be at least 4 to 5 years’ experience in third party or shared service centers, in project management, quality assurance.
- Second-level supervisor/team leader role for at least 3 years would be ideal.
General Competencies:
Interpersonal Impact Cluster:
- Client Relationship Focus. Interacts with Onshore/foreign clients, for long-duration services (not one-offs). Interacts with VP/director-level client executives, in service review meetings or other presentations
- Business Advisory & Partnership. Experience as junior consultant, leads multi-country working groups
- Teamwork and Organizational Influence (stakeholder mgt, relationship mgt, networking, conflict/negotiation, facilitation skills). Interacts with SDD heads and other managers, participates/leads in cross-team/cross-domain working groups, leads KPI review meetings, leads negotiations for FTE analysis, CRFs. chairs team meetings
Leadership and Achievement Cluster:
- Strategic Thinking and Realization. Proposes solutions, even non-traditional ones, rather than just problems . Asks other units if issue spans multiple teams. Escalates issues in timely manner. Thinks commercially (benefits and risk to bank). Finds solutions beyond policy. Escalates to next level and above that when necessary. Works with other units to find solutions to challenges that may otherwise not be easily handled
- Achievement and Performance Focus (end to end orientation, critical thinking). Looks for solutions instead of just waiting for them, positive in orientation. Proposes practical solutions, consults specialists, team leads, within domain (and across, if necessary). Focuses on achieving primary deliverable. Quickly finds practical solutions and persistently drives implementation, not analysis paralysis. Communicates exceptions in timely manner and to right level
- Organizational and Team Leadership. periodically serves as leader in initiatives, has supervisory/team lead experience
Personal Effectiveness Cluster:
- Professionalism and Integrity. Works hard to deliver assignments in committed time, or quickly communicates delay. Takes personal responsibility for team failure rather than just blame colleagues. Communicates negative results quickly without too much excuses
