Ericsson Agency has recently been formed within Ericsson’s Service Delivery & Operations organization to strengthen our global capability to source resources for high growth markets, drive cost effectiveness and improve service delivery excellence when using contractors. In line with the initiative, we are now looking for experienced and senior contract based Solution Architects, willing to be engaged on multiple short term contracts (performance and demand dependent) within our high growth market areas
Solution Architects (Contract Based)
Responsibilities:
The Solution Architect (SA) should ensure that competitive solutions (products and services) are provided to customers as solution proposals, as offers in the sales phase and as delivered solutions as a result of a project or as an ongoing operation.
The main responsibilities are to participate in identifying customer solutions, support sales as a Core 3 team member responsible for the technical solution and services as well as participating in projects as technical and solution adviser.
• Minimum 5 years solid background and general experience in any ONE of the following areas:
• Core network (IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem, PBN)
• Service Layer/Multimedia Solution (Application Support Enablers, End User Services, Enterprise, Service Development Platform, User management)
• Special Areas/New Area (Multi Vendor Verification, Security)
• Telecom Management Solution (Network Management & Service Assurance, Revenue Management, Service Provisioning)
• Analyze the customer’s marketing strategy and current strength within mobile services.
• Propose solution scenarios with identified components.
• Perform dimensioning analysis based on customer requirements and estimate costs for customization.
• Prepare and write solution descriptions and participate in meetings with customers on solution issues.
• Handle change requests and if required, evaluate 3rd Party Products to be used in solution.
• Handle Life Cycle Management of the Customer Solution that may include configuration management, evolution planning and solution consulting.
• Ensure proper impact analysis and verification is performed on restorations, updates or changes at solution level.
• Ensure proper service implementation is executed, according to directives and guidelines.
• Excellent consultative and presentation skills.
• Must have proven experience in handling problem resolution and risk management/analysis.
• Knowledge Sharing, On Job Training (OJT) and mentoring of the local delivery workforce to build local competence.
Essential Experience:
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering or IT/Computer Science (Telecommunication, Electrical, etc) or the equivalent theoretical background acquired through experience and/or in any other way.
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience working for Ericsson in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Ericsson processes and tools
• Excellent operational and technical knowledge of telecoms in an evolving market.
Job Locations:
Vacancies throughout the world but in particular within Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Availability:
Successful applicants would be expected to be available to take up a position within the next three months. Please note that engagement as a Contractor in no way constitutes an employment agreement with Ericsson. Rather, as a Contractor under the Ericsson Agency umbrella, you would be given priority placement over free lance contractors to prime, short term roles within Ericsson’s service delivery. In return, Ericsson Agency will be proactively looking at subsequent assignments and your competence development.
