Ericsson Agency has recently been formed within Ericsson’s Service Delivery & Operations organization to strengthen our global capability to source resources for high growth markets, drive cost effectiveness and improve service delivery excellence when using contractors. In line with the initiative, we are now looking for experienced and senior contract based Solution Integrators, willing to be engaged on multiple short term contracts (performance and demand dependent) within our high growth market areas.
Solution Integrators (Contract Based)
Responsibilities:
As a Solution Integrator, your main tasks are to configure, integrate, test and document the solution delivered to the customer. The solution can consist of software, hardware, documentation, processes and organizational changes.
• Minimum of 5 years solid background and general experience in any ONE of the following areas:
• Core network (IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem, PBN)
• Service Layer/Multimedia Solution (Application Support Enablers, End User Services, Enterprise, Service Development Platform, User management)
• Special Areas/New Area (Multi Vendor Verification, Security)
• Telecom Management Solution (Network Management & Service Assurance, Revenue Management, Service Provisioning)
• Participate C&SI security service deliveries for customers.
• To ensure all projects are implemented in accordance to the agreed customer requirements and expectations.
• Support pre-sales activities and pre-studies and also participate in requirement engineering.
• Analyze and propose customer’s existing systems, needs and requirement in co-operation with the Solution Architect.
• Establish test specifications and procedures for the solution with high integrity focus on acceptance test procedure, acceptance test and hand over to the customer and Ericsson organization.
• Secure that the delivered solution is properly implemented and works in accordance with the requirements.
• Establish integration specifications, establish migration plans, perform data migration and specify upgrade data activities.
• Analyze and evaluate test result, support acceptance procedure and customer’s start-up phase and gives on-site assistance.
• Ensure hand-over of integrated system to Ericsson Customer Support (ELS)
• Knowledge Sharing, On Job Training (OJT) and mentoring of the local delivery workforce to build local competence.
Essential Experience:
Formal qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering or IT/Computer Science (Telecommunication, Electrical, etc) or the equivalent theoretical background acquired through experience and/or in any other way.
We also expect you to be:

• Experience from mobile and/or fixed networks
• Good technical and management skills.
• Possess leadership skills, self-motivation, use initiative and able to work independently
• Solid, positive thinking with strong will to succeed and grow.
• Ability to work in challenging working environments (geographical, climate, social).
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent level of English.
Desirable Experience:
• Excellent operational and technical knowledge of telecoms in an evolving market place is an advantage
• Previous experience working for Ericsson in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Ericsson processes and tools
Job Locations:
Vacancies throughout the world but in particular within Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Availability:
Successful applicants would be expected to be available to take up a position within the next three months. Please note that engagement as a Contractor in no way constitutes an employment agreement with Ericsson. Rather, as a Contractor under the Ericsson Agency umbrella, you would be given priority placement over free lance contractors to prime, short term roles within Ericsson’s service delivery. In return, Ericsson Agency will be proactively looking at subsequent assignments and your competence development.
