Application Support Analyst – Manila

Macquarie’s Information Technology Group (ITG) in Manila is looking to recruit an Application Support Analyst to support and maintain Macquarie’s global applications.

Key responsibilities will include:

•    Providing operational support for a range of critical applications used by MGL staff and MGL business clients
•    Resolving incidents quickly and effectively
•    Assisting with root cause analysis of incidents
•    Performing user and data administration for the applications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•    IT degree or equivalent experience
•    Familiarity with ITIL work practices
•    Well developed diagnostic and analytic skills with proven problem solving experience
•    Understanding of a broad set of technologies and environments
•    Established skills in application support and server administration on Windows and Solaris platforms

o    application support duties in a financial institution environment
o    security administration experience with a platform such as Active Directory, Sybase ASE (or MS SQL/Oracle), Sun Directory, NIS or RACF Mainframe
o    a request workflow management tool such as NewScale’s RequestCenter
o    an incident and request management tool such as BMC’s Remedy
o    a process workflow tool such as BMC’s RunBook or Atrium Orchestrator
o    an identity management tool such as BMC’s Control SA
o    an authentication service such as Secure Computing’s Safeword
o    alert management tool like BMC Event Manager and Alarmpoint

•    Demonstrable skill in script development in one or more of the following:
o    Windows cmd batch files
o    Perl
o    XML
o    Csh/Ksh
o    TCL

Web Developer – ITS Software Services – Manila

Macquarie’s Information Technology Group (ITG) in Manila is looking to recruit a web developer to help build and maintain systems needed to meet the growing needs of our Asia Pacific business.

Key responsibilities will include:

•    Maintaining, enhancing and extending a range of services in the Macquarie IT service catalogue, built on the new Scale Request Center product
•    Extending and maintaining a suite of web services and back-end scripts integrated with the Request Center product
•    Supporting and extending various existing infrastructure applications & customizations
•    Providing technical support on the system to the Project Office, team leaders and managers
•    Work in other project teams, as required, to develop other systems need to support the growing businesses of Macquarie

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•    IT degree or equivalent
•    Solid P erl and JavaScript experience
•    Good understanding of HTML, CSS and Ajax programming techniques

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Manila Resource Centre in the role of Head of ITG Central Development. In this role your responsibilities will include:

•    Managing the Central Development Facility of the MRC to ensure successful creation and delivery of applications for global Macquarie businesses
•    Promoting the development capability of the MRC within Macquarie, garnering new internal business where possible and practical
•    Ensuring that requests from multiple businesses are dealt with efficiently such that all requests receive timely attention and service
•    Developing a strategy to allow for multiple streams of development to take place from the one group and to ensure tools, methodologies and engagement models are appropriate and well communicated
•    Developing and publishing of metrics by which the team’s success can be measured
•    Creating relevant teams and an associated leadership and governance structure to support development in relevant languages and frameworks
•    Delivering and maintaining applications using either wholly offshore capabilities or being part of a broader, distributed capability
•    Implement proven offshore application delivery methodologies that are suitable for Macquarie’s environment and various business engagement models
•    Engage effectively with key business stakeholders including offshore sponsors, lead business analysts and ITG counterparts.

•    Demonstrable delivery of successful applications to a global community
•    Good knowledge of recent development languages including Java and .NET

Financial Administrator – Manila Resource Centre

The MRC is now looking to hire a dedicated professional at Associate level to undertake the role of Financial Administrator to manage the Centre’s internal financial duties.

Responsibilities:

•    Tracking cost and expenses of the MRC;
•    Providing financial summaries and reports of financial status and expenditure;
•    Reporting on Recovery status (ITG recovers all operating expenses on a fee-for-use basis)
•    Assisting the Finance department in the submission of SEC, BIR and other government and legal requirements;
•    Detecting and fixing anomalies in expenses and intra-company charges;
•    Providing financial health oversight of the MRC registered company;
•    Acting as an authorized signatory for company bank accounts and transactions.

The following characteristics are considered essential:

•    Certified Public Accountant
•    Ability to work co-operatively with global finance and technology teams;
•    Ability to undertake flexible working hours to meet with the requirements of a global banking organization headquartered in Sydney, Australia;
