Telecommunications Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily operation, administration and maintenance of all Telecommunication Servers, Gateways and Adjuncts, including all existing telecom systems in the Production Area and the accountability for maintaining, mission critical, 24×7, systems and support to meet the needs of the core business requirements. This includes the resolution of all issues with phone sets of end-users.
• Design, Development, Management and Implementation of local telephony infrastructure systems including voice network circuits from local telecommunication service providers. Completion of all service requests for adds, moves and changes on all telephony systems in a timely manner including but not limited to new phone extensions/stations, voice mail boxes, voice mail greetings, employee phone logins etc.
• Ordering and acquisition, issue and cancel of company mobile phones, and other mobile telecom equipments and services needed.
• Maintenance of the cross-connect patch panels making sure that all cables and wiring blocks are numbered and easily identified.
• Perform and monitor daily server backup and weekly off-site tape rotation.
• Perform system administration of company wide Telecom Servers, Gateways and adjuncts.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ECE/Computer), Computer Science/Information Technology or other equivalent and related courses.
• At least 2 to 5 years experience, preferably within the Call Center/BPO or any communications-intensive industry. This includes a strong knowledge in Voice Networks’ handling in enterprise systems.
• Avaya Certified Expert (ACE), Avaya Certified Specialist/Associate, Nortel Certified Engineer/Specialist and/or other related IT-certification is preferred. Additional training or certification in project subject area may also be required.
