Macquarie’s Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for the management of Macquarie’s global technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems, and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. Each of Macquarie’s business Groups have a dedicated IT team partnering with them to understand the Group’s specific technology needs and to provide innovative and effective IT solutions.
The Manila Resource Centre (MRC) based in Makati City, Metro Manila forms part of ITG’s strategic goal to offer first class IT support and development to the Macquarie group of businesses and since it’s inception in October 2007, the MRC has played a key role in the provision of ITG services to end users within the organization.
Web Developer - ITS Software Services - Manila
Macquarie’s Information Technology Group (ITG) in Manila is looking to recruit a web developer to help build and maintain systems needed to meet the growing needs of our Asia Pacific business.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining, enhancing and extending a range of services in the Macquarie IT service catalogue, built on the new Scale Request Center product
• Extending and maintaining a suite of web services and back-end scripts integrated with the Request Center product
• Supporting and extending various existing infrastructure applications & customizations
• Providing technical support on the system to the Project Office, team leaders and managers
• Work in other project teams, as required, to develop other systems need to support the growing businesses of Macquarie
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• IT degree or equivalent
• Solid P erl and JavaScript experience
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS and Ajax programming techniques
• Good understanding of database design and programming (MS SQL, Sybase, MySQL)
• Experience using source control such as SVN and issue tracking systems such as JIRA
• A track record of successfully managing your own time and delivering solutions on time
• Experience in dealing with external software vendors
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to communicate across different levels within the organization
• Proven ability to work across cultures with a geographically dispersed user community
• An ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Availability to travel and work in regional offices across Asia Pacific from time to time
Ideally you will have:
• 3+ years development and support experience
• Object oriented P erl experience
• VBScript experience
• Shell scripting experience (bash/sh)
• Experience in both Linux and Windows environments
